We will host a special craft tour in June, offering participants the opportunity to experience the history and culture of Takigahara while immersing themselves in its creative charm. The tour features a variety of programs, including guided tours by community members, hands-on workshops, and a wood-fired dinner showcasing local flavors.
Guided Quarry Visit:
Discover the stories and history behind Takigahara’s renowned stone quarries with a knowledgeable local guide.
Aroma Stone Crafting:
Create your own aroma stone using authentic Takigahara stone.
Takigahara Pottery Workshop:
Craft unique ceramics using clay infused with Takigahara stone, a tradition known as “Takigahara Yaki.”
After firing, the items will be shipped to your home at a later date. (Shipping fee not included)
Stone Oven Dinner:
Savor a delicious dinner prepared in a traditional stone oven, adding a rustic touch to your culinary experience.
