Honyama Stone Quarry

The only remaining active stone quarry in Takigahara, said to have begun in the early 1800s. Its 300-meter-long straight tunnel is truly awe-inspiring.

Please note: The quarry is extremely dangerous, and entry without permission is strictly prohibited. Advance reservations are required for any visit.
